Reverend Elizabeth McVicker
Rev. McVicker is an ordained elder in the Mountain Sky Conference of The United Methodist Church. She was raised in the United Methodist Church and studied at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. She has served churches in Arizona, Wyoming, and Utah.
Rev. Elizabeth was born in Rangoon, Burma, a country in southeast Asia. She is "full-blooded" Chinese and her parents came to America seeking escape from a Socialist government. She grew up attending the Methodist Church with her parents in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and participated in the choir and Sunday School.
After graduating from Yale, she was planning to get a doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley but decided to take a break. She enrolled in seminary in Berkeley where she felt called into ministry. She was ordained in 1997.
